I’m in the murky depths of final paper writing, which means I’m generally MIA and steadily approaching burnout. Only one week left!

While I’m a little stingey today with words, here’s some stuff that sparked my interest this week.

Crafty Wowza!

I’m having one of those weeks where I don’t have much to say, really.  Maybe it’s because I didn’t feel good at the beginning of the week.  And maybe now it’s because I am just so happy that it’s sunny and warm, that I can’t think of much else. I’ve been riding my bike to work again, and that too just makes my mind go blank!

Anyway, having a quiet mind is a good time to check out other peoples awesomeness…

Someone MADE this out of a plain ol’ lamp and coke bottles.  Check it out here!  Now the question is…could I really replicate this at home? Maybe a project for when I get back from Europe?? Who wants to help?

Weekend Fun

I am finally recovered from a stomach bug I picked up over the weekend. Not fun! But it’s given me time to look back over some of the pictures I took of my weekend when I was having a good time!

{Hello, snow!  View from our back door}

{Brian encouraging Timber to try to find a way out 😉 }

{The barbecue is under there…somewhere…}

{Buried Signs: Sugar Bowl trail map at top of Mt. Disney}

{Brian: top of Mt. Disney, Sugar Bowl, it was totally dumping, hence my glove covering the phone…errr, camera}

{Buried Signs: On the 06 trails by our house}

{Brian took this picture of Hazelnut, it never fails to make me laugh}

{Incline Bowl}

{Our friend Justin.  Nice form, but is that foot over the line?!}

{Brian intent on the score}

{The boys discussing their balls (haha)}

St. Patty’s Day Fashion

Happy St. Patty’s Day!

I usually find that the biggest decision I have on St. Patty’s Day is not what to drink (Guinness) or who to drink with (everyone), but what to wear (something green). I have only a few green items in my wardrobe.  Therefore, I think a lot about what I am going to wear, even if I end up really wearing nothing special. Here’s a little inspiration:

I really wish I had an awesome skirt like this to put under a sequined dress! (image)

Fun for night, but can I get away with this at my day job? (image)

Nice complimentary color scheme this cool dude has going. Snazzy. (image)

What happened to Hugh!? (image)

Is this what teletubbies look like when they get old? (image)

Yes, please! (image)

This guy is Castro bound. (image)

But really this is how I normally roll…

Double fisting and gettin’ low. Yes, we’re dancing… 🙂

Oh, Charlie!

I wasn’t planning on another post today, but after this article I felt compelled.

It’s not big news that Charlie Sheen has lost his mind. He finally did too many drugs and, ziiippp, there it went! I’d feel a little sad for him, but really I am loving it so much because he’s the most entertaining thing happening right now! Especially with all the other depressing news there is out there.  For instance, I get NY Times email alerts, and they usually have headlines like, “House Votes to Cut $60 Billion, Setting up Budget Clash” or “Libyan Rebels, Invoking U.N., May Ask West for Airstrikes”, stuff that I may skim but usually I just hit delete, not because I’m not interested but because it’s too intense for me at the moment. But see, with Charlie you always know it’s going to be a good time.  And when I clicked on the NY Times email with the headline “Charlie Sheen Fired From ‘Two and a Half Men’” I wasn’t disappointed.
My favorites:

Mr. Sheen released a statement to saying, in part, “this is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales,” adding “and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension.”

Hahaha. Go, Charlie!

But when asked about the show’s future, Mr. Moonves  pointedly said “I hope it’s back.” He did not say “I hope he’s back,” referring to Mr. Sheen.

So good.

Mr. Sheen’s comments in recent weeks, in which he denigrated Mr. Lorre, indicating that only because of his performance as a star did the show become a hit. Mr. Sheen said he had turned Mr. Lorre’s “tin can of a show” into gold.

“Two and a Half Men”…gold? You’re so f-ing out of your mind.

I also do not get this one:

But Leslie Moonves, the chief CBS executive, said in comments at analyst conference last week that he was not foreclosing the possibility that “Two and a Half Men,” which has been the most popular comedy on television for much of its 8-year run, might return.

If “Two and a Half Men” is the most popular comedy on television, then my name is Charlie.

So yes, I’m a little obsessed right now. But I’m not the only one.  Look at this site, Charlie Sheen Soundboard! There is tons of fun to be had here. It’s great for prank calls too…not that I would do something like that…(sorry, Shannon).  🙂
